About Remai Modern
Remai Modern is an iconic contemporary art gallery situated in the heart of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Opened in October 2017, the gallery was founded to celebrate and showcase the rich artistic heritage of Canada while presenting a dynamic range of international contemporary art. The building itself is a work of art, designed by the renowned architect and Finnish-American designer, Bruce Kuwabara.
Remai Modern is home to over 8,000 artworks, including an extensive collection of modern art with a strong emphasis on Canadian and Indigenous artists. The gallery is particularly famous for being the exclusive home of the largest collection of works by the influential Canadian artist, Pablo Picasso, outside of Europe, which includes his linocuts and sculptures.
