This vibrant painting depicts a lively gathering of five individuals engaged in an animated conversation, set against a warm gradient backdrop that transitions from deep red to a soft orange. The central figure, wearing a light-colored shirt with a glass in hand, appears to be the focal point, passionately sharing a story. The other characters, dressed in colorful clothing, show various reactions, adding depth and intrigue to the scene. The overall atmosphere conveys a sense of camaraderie and joy, inviting viewers to imagine the story unfolding. The meticulous detailing in the expressions and the creative use of color not only enhances the narrative but also adds an element of liveliness to the composition.
This painting can serve as a captivating centerpiece in a dining room, living area, or casual lounge space, enhancing the ambiance with its vibrant energy. It can also be used in art-focused cafes or restaurants to evoke conversations and create a welcoming atmosphere.

"Conversation" is an oil on linen artwork which recalls the classics, yet its characters and setting are contemporary. I was inspired by the idea that human beings often talk to themselves, even when they are physically among other people. This surreal and figurative painting explores how much this inner dialogue conditions our relationships.

I worked on the draft for months, and finally opted for a situation which recalls Caravaggio’s “Dinner in Emmaus”, seeking a convivial situation that also reflects the master's style. The positions of the characters mirror those in Caravaggio’s painting, as do the lights. The painting technique is realistic but vibrant, with visible brush strokes and strong lights and shades.

This medium-sized portraiture would be perfect in a dining room or living room. Its realism and surrealism will bring a unique touch to your space, inviting contemplation and sparking conversation.

“Conversation” is a 120x80cm oil on linen artwork, painted using top quality materials and varnished to preserve it from aging and damages. It is a one-of-a-kind artwork and comes with a certificate of authenticity, signed by the artist.
