This exquisite wooden sculpture captures the essence of organic form, showcasing a graceful, flowing shape that evokes a sense of movement and vitality. The top portion of the piece displays a smooth, polished finish that transitions seamlessly into the natural, textured base, highlighting the contrast between refined craftsmanship and raw nature. The warm tones of the wood range from deep chestnut to lighter amber hues, creating a visually striking interplay of color and form. Each curve and contour of the sculpture invites viewers to appreciate its unique silhouette, making it a captivating focal point for any space.
This sculpture would work beautifully in a variety of interior settings. It can serve as a stunning centerpiece on a console table, an elegant accent in a living room, or as a standout piece in a gallery wall. Its organic form and natural materials provide a grounding effect, making it ideal for spaces designed with a biophilic approach. It enhances contemporary, minimalist, or rustic interior designs, bringing warmth and sophistication.

The sculpture "samsara IV" was made from an old pine root wood that the artist found in the mountains of his homeland.

This particular wood has an unusually rich red-brown color and is exceptionally hard and heavy.

In the sculpture series "samsara" Manfred deals with the perpetual cycle of being, the cycle of becoming and passing away and the cycle of rebirth in Indian religions. The artist creates something new from old, partially dead tree trunks and found objects.

The sculpture was welded to the steel plate (47.5 x 35 x 0.8 cm) through a drilled steel tube and additionally fixed with screws.

The surface of the sculpture is finely sanded in the upper area and brushed in the lower area. In addition, the root wood was embedded with hardwax oil.
