Aufgewachsen auf dem Land aber immer mit dem Blick auf die Fabrik der Ilseder Schlackeverwertung, hat mich das Spannungsfeld von Industrie und Natur von Kindheit an geprägt. Diese Motive kehren immer wieder in meine Arbeiten zurück. Hierbei geht es jedoch nicht direkt um Erinnerungen, eher um die Frage, wodurch eine Erinnerung in uns ausgelöst werden kann. Wir können ja nicht unser ganzes Leben präsent halten. Es gibt aber Momente, ein bestimmter Duft, eine Landschaft, einen Klang, der diese Erinnerungen wieder hervorholt. Es geht um diesen einen bewusst wahrgenommenen Moment, der an etwas aus der Vergangenheit anknüpft und so ein vertrautes Gefühl hervorruft.
