This captivating painting features a delightful juxtaposition of a young girl and a meticulously rendered head of cabbage. On the left side, the child, dressed in a vibrant Ariel-themed shirt, beams with an infectious smile, capturing the essence of childhood joy. Her curly hair is adorned with a delicate headband, complementing her playful demeanor. The background is softly blurred, hinting at a warm afternoon atmosphere, enhancing the focus on her bright expression and outfit. To the right, the cabbage exhibits extraordinary detail, showcasing its textured leaves and subtle shades of green. The stark white background emphasizes both subjects, drawing the viewer's attention to the artistic contrast between the vitality of the child and the earthy, organic quality of the cabbage. The combination provokes thought and evokes a playful connection between innocence and nature, making it a striking conversation starter in any space. This painting would be an excellent addition to a child's bedroom or a playful family room, bringing a sense of joy and whimsy to the environment. It also fits well in a kitchen or dining area, where its theme of food can resonate with culinary enthusiasts and evoke memories of home cooking. Positioning it against a light-colored wall will allow the vibrant colors and details to stand out, creating an inviting focal point in the room.

This artwork displays a canvas split in two different parts, each one representing a painting which has apparently nothing to do with the other.
I was thinking about rising a sense of misplacement in the observer when I set up this painting and managed to put two beautiful artworks one next to the other, physically inseparable. Then I picked up a photo of Sofia and chose a beautiful picture of a savoy cabbage and painted them on the same canvas. When I finished the artwork I felt as if I wanted to have them separate, but after a while I started considering them as a single artwork and I appreciated how the two images worked together. I then realised that I had to get over the common idea of ‘painting’ to fully appreciate the artwork and, eventually, decided to call it “Bi-painting”.
