This stunning black and white artwork features a serene, minimalist depiction of a long, seemingly endless boardwalk or pathway extending into a misty, ethereal environment. The sleek railings create a sense of depth and perspective, guiding the viewer's eye toward a glowing, luminous horizon. The soft gradients of gray and white evoke a feeling of tranquility and introspection, making it a perfect piece for inspiring calmness and reflection in any space. This painting would be ideal for modern living rooms, home offices, or meditation spaces. Its calming aesthetic can enhance the ambiance of a minimalist or contemporary interior design. Consider placing it above a console table or a sleek sofa, or as a statement piece in a spacious hallway to draw the eye and create a sense of openness.
The image depicts two rails reaching out from different sides of the ocean, a metaphor for two people from different sides of the world being so far apart. Despite the vast distance between them, they remain connected, a sign of their unyielding bond. It symbolizes the hope that even though oceans may separate people, love is strong enough to bridge the gap.

International Award Winning Fine Art photographer Steven Algie is an Australian living in the Hunter Valley. Steve is inspired by the love of the outdoors and I love the never ending challenge of trying to portray ‘that feeling’, you know, the beautiful morning glow, the sense of isolation when you have a scene to yourself, the sound of waves lapping the shore...My images are all about the outdoors and telling a story.
In the time I have been a photographer, I've been able to achieve so much at a personal level as well as a professional level. I've always had a passion for creative art and have a great understanding of composition...I take great joy in learning as I go along on my endeavours and get great satisfaction in doing so.
I mostly photograph landscape images, using various Techniques to achieve my photo art. From long exposures to using filters and professional editing software, my main passion is for minimal fine art photography and the use of monochrome in a square format. I get great satisfaction when it comes to photo editing and seeing my work come to life! My commitment to quality and craft is unwavering.
