This captivating artwork features a stylized depiction of a solitary structure, reminiscent of a rustic shed or cabin, set against a lush green backdrop. The building's gentle outlines contrast with the vibrant greenery, highlighting its simplicity and charm. The soft, muted colors of the foliage evoke a tranquil atmosphere, while the single street lamp in the foreground adds a touch of modernity. The painting's overall composition creates a serene landscape that invites contemplation and appreciation for the beauty of everyday scenes.
This painting would be a perfect addition to a cozy living room or a serene bedroom, harmonizing well with earthy tones. It could also enhance the ambiance of a study or home office, providing a calming backdrop that encourages focus and creativity. Consider pairing it with natural wood frames and complementary decor to amplify its charm.
The term Plant can be read here with two meanings. With regard to my work, both plants and (industrial) plants = industrial plant can be discussed. The title thus covers the basic topics /motives of my work since 2012. | However, growing up in the countryside with a view to the factory of the Ilseder slag utilization, the field of tension of industry and nature has shaped me from childhood. These motifs always return to my work. However, this is not directly about memories, rather about the question, which can trigger a memory in us. We can't keep our whole life present. But there are moments, a certain scent, a landscape, a sound that brings out these memories. It is about this consciously perceived moment, which is linked to something from the past and thus creates a familiar feeling. | For the Plant Memory Lane series, I visited other places marked by industry in Germany, where impressions of industrial architecture and landscape in the form of photography, sketches and color studies were collected and implemented in painting. Not in the form of a documentation, but rather in the form of an inner map.
