This vibrant artwork features a contemporary urban scene dominated by two striking pyramid-shaped buildings rendered in a bold red hue. The intricate details of the windows, outlined in white, contrast beautifully with the deep green surrounding foliage. In the background, a serene body of water reflects the skyline, while a cluster of buildings creates a dynamic interplay of geometric shapes and colors. The artist employs a bright and lively color palette, with hues of green, blue, and pink adding depth and interest. The lively essence of city life is captured with a playful approach, making the viewer feel a sense of curiosity and excitement about the urban landscape.
This painting can be an eye-catching focal point in modern interior spaces such as living rooms, offices, or art galleries. Its unique architectural representation adds an element of creativity and conversation, making it ideal for contemporary decor that embraces bold statements and innovative designs.
The painting represents a glimpse of Amsterdam on two different layers: the first one is a polycarbonate sheet painted with debossed colours that represent the colourful city, while the second one is the underlying canvas painted with stratified acrylics and treated with special techniques. The two surfaces, uniting, create one composition where the layers blend with each other and result in news perceptive solutions. Moreover, the sheet is placed so that it creates a waving effect that comes out of the painting, giving it a third dimension; that put in contact the viewer with the work and creates ate the same time a mixture of lights and shadows that mutate as the viewer moves.
