This captivating painting features a striking abstract composition characterized by swirling, elongated forms that evoke the imagery of trees or branches against a vibrant backdrop. The background is a gradient of warm oranges and soft purples, creating a dynamic contrast that draws the viewer's eye. Overlaying the colorful background is a layer of handwritten text in various shades of cream and white, adding depth and intrigue to the piece. The text appears to be a blend of phrases and fragmented sentences, enhancing the complexity of the artwork and inviting viewers to ponder its meaning. The texture is rich and expressive, created through various layering techniques of acrylic paint, which gives the surface a tactile quality. The overall mood of the painting is reflective and thought-provoking, encouraging contemplation due to its layered meanings and vibrant color palette.
This painting would be a stunning addition to both modern and contemporary interior designs. It can be used as a focal point in a living room, study, or creative workspace, where it can inspire conversation and contemplation. Additionally, its vibrant colors make it suitable for spaces that aim to stimulate creativity, such as art studios or modern cafes. Consider placing it above a simple, neutral-toned sofa or desk to highlight its colors and details.
During the first lockdown Eekhout to promote her art on Facebook. Apparently there was a lot of loneliness because of the lockdown. Many men saw the artist but not the artwork. The artist got lots messages from men looking for companionship. Eekhout decided to use these messages as a source of inspiration and incorporated a selection of the messages she received into this painting of a nude female body in an abstract forest. | The painting is ready to hang. Because the sides are painted there is no need for a frame. | The artist wrote the texts with bronze colored leaf metal. She also used purple acrylic paint with a pearl glow. Because of this, the orange colors will seem more purple / pink when the light falls on it from a different angle. This changes the painting during the course of the day.
