In this work, I wanted to capture the melancholy and enchantment of a nighttime serenade. Oils and oil pastels blend to create rich textures, while graphite adds finesse and detail. The symbolism is revealed through the watchful owl, witness to the scene, and the moon which bathes everything in a soft and revealing light.
