„Kugeldisteln“ belonged to the exhibition series: Flowers of the sun. It stands for life: beginning & end. Life & death. Like the flowers themselves - as they thrive, blossom, cry, decay and stand in the eternal cycle of life. (Nothing could be more symbolic for my life at that time). I learned every phase in life, whether plagued by grief & pain or overwhelmed by great joy, each has earned his authority and his time. I realized that even sadness holds a certain charm and beauty. “Ball Thistles” was part of the exhibition series: Blossoms of the Sun. It stands for life: beginning & end. Life death. Like the flowers themselves - how they thrive, bloom, wither, decay and are in the eternal cycle of life. (Nothing could be more symbolic of the period in my life at that time). I learned that every phase in life, whether plagued by grief and pain or masked by great joy, each has its place and deserves its time. I discovered that even sadness holds a certain charm and beauty.
