This striking artwork features a profile of a bald man, illuminated by a subtle teal glow against a deep black background. The contrast between the soft hue of the figure and the darkness surrounding it evokes a sense of tranquility and introspection. The minimalistic style emphasizes the smooth contours of the subject's face, inviting viewers to contemplate the emotions conveyed through this stark simplicity.
This painting can beautifully enhance spaces such as modern living rooms, contemporary offices, or meditation areas. It is perfect for creating a calm and reflective atmosphere, particularly when paired with minimalist furniture and neutral tones. Hanging it above a sleek console table or within a gallery wall can make a powerful statement.
Oil on aluminium panel, unframed but comes with subframe on the back and is ready to hang. Finalist Doug Moran National Portrait Prize 2018, Australia. Longlisted Aesthetica Art Prize 2020, UK.
