Twilight. Winter Path

I live on a peninsula on the West Coast of Norway, with the North Sea at one side and the Fjords on the other. Majestic mountains and peaceful spots amongst trees provide shelter from rain and wind and peaceful spots like this. I base my artwork on memories of places and experiences that is reinterpreted and reinvented through colour. The abstraction brings forth the essence and express specific moods and emotions of the experience, elevating the subject from place to atmosphere. I create my artworks in soft pastel that allows for exceptional degrees of intensity and fluidity and opens up for lyrical interpretations and make my compositions vibrate with character as it comes to life. It has a delicate surface and needs the protection of glass.
