I About I Jason Engelbart is a contemporary artist whose digital abstract works use unmistakable artistic aesthetics. The work of his working group Baroque Passion is based on angelbarts trace of the divine, which uses all of us in the artistic expression of pure love. And it is precisely this emotional and spiritual essence of the sacred to opulent works of baroque painting, such as those of Johannes Zick, Andrea Pozzo or Guido Reni, which serve as a source of inspiration in the creative process.
With its own digital painting technique, Engelbart abstracts selected works of this art era by digitally overlaping, re -arranging, blurring and painting over facets of different image elements. With their fine light, color and shape contrasts, angelbarts are reminiscent of the opulent ceiling frescoes and sacred motifs of the baroque art era. In the painting process, own flowing structures and image rhythms are created, which make up the contemporary, characteristic appearance of its works and at the same time raise the underlying historical works into a new perception dimension. In total, color and shape turn into a single aesthetic-abstract event that is experienced as a holy moment at a purely emotional level. With this artistic production of baroque icons, Engelbart beats a finely balanced bridge to contemporary art and creates a very subtle déjà vu for the viewer.
