As an artist, I move between the worlds of abstraction and figuration. The fascinating oil paintings by my grandfather, who devoted himself to the representation of water landscapes, were my first artistic inspiration. After years in which I only devoted myself to drawing, I discovered the colorful world of acrylic paint many years ago.
My artistic journey started with abstracted nude paintings, large -format and shaped by striking brush strokes. Instead of going further towards abstraction, I found my greatest joy in figurative painting. My preferred technology combines abstract backgrounds, which consist of countless color orders, with figurative elements, often in black and white and always with a humorous touch. People and animals who often wear a strong symbolic power are the main actors in my works.
Fascinated by expressive faces, I am inspired by portraits and often also inspired by fashion recordings. In addition to humans, I also like to devote myself to the representation of animals, inspired by travel and the immediate surroundings.
Charlie Chaplin's motto "If you take life too seriously, you need a lot of humor to survive" guides my artistic work. I paint with a wink and a deep understanding that life has serious sides, but should also offer room for humor.
I worked as a graphic designer in international companies for many years, which shaped my gaze for aesthetics and design. I also visited various art seminars that have refined and expanded my artistic technology. My participation in art fairs enabled me to present my works to a wider audience and to receive new impulses for my artistic development.
In the course of my artistic career, I took part in numerous individual and community exhibitions, also at numerous legal exhibitions. In 2017 I was awarded the audience award of the KV Ebersberg and my works found their place in public collections. My artistic work combines abstraction and figuration to stories with an ironic joke, and my pictures invite you not to take life too seriously and look at with a smile.
