Marion Rockstroh-Kruft

My photographic journey began in 2012 with my graduation from the New York Institute of Photography. Since 2015, I have been working as a photographer across various fields, continuously exploring and pushing the boundaries of my craft. That same year, I discovered Intentional Camera Movement (ICM), which has since become the cornerstone of my artistic expression. Through ICM, I capture the fluidity and vitality of life, translating fleeting moments into abstract interpretations that reflect my perception of the world's transience and vibrancy. My work explores the Tension of Perception between Transformation and Uncertainty – making visible how perception is constantly in flux, never static, shaped by individual impressions, memories, and intuition. My art speaks to unique personalities who seek deeper meaning in our fast-paced world – individuals who value the beauty of fleeting moments and yearn for authentic connection with their surroundings. I create for people who appreciate uniqueness over conformity, who find strength in stillness, and who understand that true perception requires us to pause and truly see. These are viewers who recognize that every moment is irreplaceable, who trust their intuition, and who believe that art should inspire reflection rather than simply decorate walls. My unique photo art is made for those unique personalities who dare to see the world differently. By 2019, I began exhibiting my work locally, allowing audiences to experience my evolving vision. In 2023, I made the decision to focus exclusively on abstract art photography, creating works known for their emotional depth that invite viewers to discover their own emotions and perceptions within them. In 2023, I completed "Kolkata • Veils of Light," a project exploring the dynamic energy and contrasts of urban life. Currently, I am working on "Vision of Vine – Winds of Change," reflecting on climate change's impact on the wine industry, blending my passions for wine, travel, and photography. My international breakthrough came in 2024 at Arles OFF with the group exhibition "Beyond the Surface," curated by ProfiFoto. 2025 brought significant recognition: 1st Place in Abstract Photography at the Best Photography Awards with "Dual Paths" and an Honorary Mention for "Focus in Flux."
