Mundi

Stephan Mundi, born in 1971 in Tegernsee, Bavaria, hails from a traditional Hungarian-Munich artist family. From an early age, he was introduced to the world of art by his grandfather, Adalbert Béla Mundi, a well-known Munich musician and landscape painter. Under his guidance, Stephan learned to work with brush, palette knife, oil, and acrylic, and developed a deep passion for painting. In the following years, Mundi created several works in oil, acrylic, and charcoal, exhibiting them privately. At the age of 16, Stephan Mundi decided to switch to music and was active as a singer and composer in various formations until 2011. It was only due to health reasons that he was forced to end his musical career. Instead of withdrawing, he turned back to his first love: painting. Encouraged by his wife, he began to paint intensively again and found a new expression for his creativity and emotions in art. Some of the works he has created since then, in acrylic, oil, pastel, and charcoal on canvas and paper, have been exhibited worldwide, including in Rome, Milan, Florence, New York, Switzerland, and Germany. His artistic style is characterized by a blend of abstract expressionism and surreal elements. With bold brushstrokes, vibrant colors, and complex textures, he creates works that convey movement and depth, drawing viewers into a world full of emotions and thoughts.
