Artist Statement
In art, I pursue a unique sense of freedom. Painting is what puts me in ecstasy. I work on my creations - with acrylic paints, brushes, palette knives, putty, charcoal, oil pastels, brooms etc. - until I reach that ineffable moment of happiness.
While painting, I am virtually on the hunt for that special moment.
To me, imperfection has an irresistible charme. That glimpse behind the facade is what keeps on inspiring me. My art is a symbol for the unusual, for all the flaws and peculiarities that make life colorful.
My goal is to challenge, to surprise the viewer of my paintings.
I want to encourage them to use the possibilities of life and be open-minded to develop and grow.
Should I? Could I? Would I? ... MAKE it !!! is my motto.
I want to break through the ordinary and stimulate thinking. Because if we strive for innovation, we can gain valuable life experiences and contribute to make our world even better.
Through my work I pave the way to the emotions, invite reflection and create an opportunity to deal with the inner world.
