Matthias Göhr

Like an oriental storyteller, the artist Matthis Göhr knows how to take you into a magical, enchanted world with his pictures. People, animals and happiness are the focus, although with Matthias Göhr one cannot be separated from the other. With his paintings he creates his own little world full of magical figures that touch the soul. Always mysterious and enigmatic, Göhr always allows new things to be discovered in his pictures. He has been working as a freelance artist since 1992. Since then, he has thrilled people in numerous solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad with his fairytale-like pictures, most of which make the world forget. When Göhr's characters feel their way through dark forests, like in a Grimm's fairy tale, the viewer already suspects that there will be some obstacles on the way, but there is no doubt that the story will ultimately end well.
