Matthias Göhr

The artist Matthis Göhr knows how to kidnap an oriental storyteller into a magical, enchanted world with his pictures. People, the animals and happiness are the focus, with Matthias Göhr that one cannot be separated from the other.
 With his painting, he creates his own little world full of magical figures that touch the soul. Always mysteriously and puzzling, Göhr keeps discovering new things in his pictures. 
He has been working as a freelance artist since 1992. Since then he has inspired numerous individual and group exhibitions at home and abroad with his fairytale pictures, most of which make the world forgotten. If Göhr's figures feel through dark forests, like in a Grimm fairy tale, the viewer already suspects that some obstacles will wait on the way, but there is no doubt about a good end to the story.
