Monika Herschberger studied painting at the Wiener Kunstschule and continued to form at the University of Applied Arts and studied jazz singing at the Conservatory. Since 2001, her focus has been on visual arts with exhibitions in Austria, Germany and Hungary. In 2019 she took part in the 14th International Symposium for Art in the Atelier on the Danube. Your works are in private collections all over the world. In her abstract paintings, she translates spontaneous thoughts and inner impulses with powerful gestures, striking lines and passion for material, color and pen. Acrylic paint mixes with pastel chalk and striking lines, which you often set to music. The colors of the seasons are also a source of inspiration. A special feature of Monika's painting is the sometimes playful lightness, sometimes a long, conscious process, in which layer is applied to the image carrier. The inclusion of the abbey in the picturesque work is a stylistic feature of her art.
