This watercolor was created on an evening with rain showers. At one point the rain was so heavy that the watercolor had to be taken inside for a short time. The raindrops left interesting marks on the painting and it was a challenge to paint in this weather. Next to the bright red poppy flower is a pink blossom. Some buds, still green, are leaning downwards. The flowers are surrounded by bright green leaves. Pale violet night violets are hinted at in the background. A path, a boulder and the green/brown water of the pond can be seen on the right of the picture. 300gr Centennaire laid paper served as the painting ground
