This striking black and white artwork features a modern urban landscape depicted in a captivating mirrored image, showcasing a city with architectural elements that are both intricate and bold. The scene includes a large moon hovering in the sky, bringing an ethereal quality to the composition. The reflections on the water add depth and symmetry, creating a sense of calmness and tranquility. The sharp contrast of light and dark highlights the structural details of the buildings, making it a visually arresting piece.
This painting would be a stunning addition to contemporary spaces such as modern living rooms, offices, or galleries where a touch of sophistication and drama is desired. It can also serve as a focal point above a sofa or in a well-lit hallway, enhancing the ambiance and inviting conversation.
"Departure" is one important image out of my project "Vantropolis".
"Departure: A fleeting moment where reality and reflection part ways, leaving only the memory of what could have been."
In the heart of the city, there was a place where the ordinary became extraordinary. Every night, as the moon ascended, the waterfront would transform into a portal—a boundary where two worlds briefly touched.
On this particular evening, a man stood by the water’s edge, staring into the mirrored city below. He had come to say goodbye. The city had been his home, but tonight, he felt the pull of something beyond—a life he had only glimpsed in dreams.
In the reflection, he saw a different version of himself, living in the mirrored city where everything was inverted yet strangely right. The man in the water seemed more confident, happier, free from the burdens that weighed him down. It was as if the reflection had found the path he had missed.
For a moment, the two men—one real, one reflected—locked eyes. A silent understanding passed between them. The reflection smiled, a gesture of encouragement, and then, as the moon dipped lower, the reflection began to fade, the boundary between the worlds closing for the night.
The man sighed, feeling a sense of loss but also hope. He turned and walked away, knowing he had to move forward, but with the quiet certainty that somewhere, in another world, he had already found his way.
