Step into the Future: Welcome to Vantropolis
I invite you to escape into a vision of tomorrow—Vantropolis, my reimagined future for Vancouver. Picture a city both breathtaking and sustainable, a place where Earth’s urban heart beats in harmony with nature. This isn’t just a city; it’s a sanctuary, crafted with intention and infused with peace—a glimpse into what our world could become.
It all began on a rainy, shadowed night in April 2019. The streets of Vancouver were slick with rain, the city lights reflected in endless shimmering puddles. In that dark, mystical quiet, I looked up and saw a building—a modern tower standing stark and luminous, its lines echoing something out of time, a vision from an old sci-fi dream. In that moment, the city’s future spoke to me.
I saw Vancouver reimagined through the lens of classic cinema, inspired by Fritz Lang’s iconic 1927 film, Metropolis. The powerful, haunting imagery of German expressionism fueled my imagination, and I felt compelled to create. Slowly, Vantropolis came to life—one artwork, one idea, one dream at a time—capturing a skyline that reflects both the present and an idealized, elevated future.
In Vantropolis, I aim to blend elements of clean design, mindfulness, and serenity, where every structure breathes, every street echoes with purpose, and art intertwines with life.
