The work ETERNITY tells about Yo Franklin's life in here and now, about her travels and her encounters with people of different cultures. It invites you to hold in and sense the moment for consciousness. ETERNITY is a slightly unperfect circle. In many layers of pigments in silicone oil, acrylic and resin, the artist has the dense, perfectly smooth background. This is ground repeatedly in the drying phases before Yo again applies a layer of color for the perfect background. The gold carries Yo in classic gold-plated technology and pays attention to small cuts in the mosaic-like application of the torn gold leaf and silver leaf. Ultimately, it reworks and polishes the golden surface and also works with delicate oil pasture for completion. Eternity is a gratitude motive. It shines, invites you to meditate, relax and amaze, and tells about the great and the whole, the beautiful and good of the world. Worked on a double-strong frame of two superimposed strips with a depth of 4 cm.

About the artist
Yo Franklin
Schondorf am Ammersee
“I don't like long lists and lists of all the prices and names. I like and make art. Every day and with passion to make people happy. “Good art concepts don’t have to drown in pompous talk,” is Yo Franklin’s answer when asked about her life as an artist.
In fact, it was initially Professor Jobst Rothmann (Goslar) who taught her four semesters in the old master oil painting technique. This was followed by free painting with Arnold Schlader at the Bad Reichenhall Art Academy, art therapy at the A.K.T Institute. in Munich and final artwork for advertising agencies. As a good acquaintance and mentor, it was Gunter Sachs who motivated Yo Franklin artistically and showed her the way into the world of Pop Art and abstraction.
In her abstract works, Yo Franklin refers to the fleeting moment and light. Their motivation and intention is based on the idea of epochal enlightenment. Humanistic values, foresight and benevolence are attached to every picture idea. The light after the dark is part of Franklin's biography and the thematic guideline, intellect of her work. She explores the boundaries between sensory perception and thinking. Her works invite dialogue with these ideas and values.
Yo is represented internationally in galleries and at art fairs. Among others in Ginza/Tokyo, Cape Coral/Florida, New York, St. Barbara/California, Tiong Bahru/Singapore, St. Tropez, Paris, Kitzbühel, Munich, Solothurn, St. Gallen, Basel, Vienna, Port d'Andatx and Palma/Mallorca, Luxembourg….from.
