Yo Franklin

Schondorf am Ammersee
“I don't like long lists and lists of all the prices and names. I like and make art. Every day and with passion to make people happy. “Good art concepts don’t have to drown in pompous talk,” is Yo Franklin’s answer when asked about her life as an artist. In fact, it was initially Professor Jobst Rothmann (Goslar) who taught her four semesters in the old master oil painting technique. This was followed by free painting with Arnold Schlader at the Bad Reichenhall Art Academy, art therapy at the A.K.T Institute. in Munich and final artwork for advertising agencies. As a good acquaintance and mentor, it was Gunter Sachs who motivated Yo Franklin artistically and showed her the way into the world of Pop Art and abstraction. In her abstract works, Yo Franklin refers to the fleeting moment and light. Their motivation and intention is based on the idea of epochal enlightenment. Humanistic values, foresight and benevolence are attached to every picture idea. The light after the dark is part of Franklin's biography and the thematic guideline, intellect of her work. She explores the boundaries between sensory perception and thinking. Her works invite dialogue with these ideas and values. Yo is represented internationally in galleries and at art fairs. Among others in Ginza/Tokyo, Cape Coral/Florida, New York, St. Barbara/California, Tiong Bahru/Singapore, St. Tropez, Paris, Kitzbühel, Munich, Solothurn, St. Gallen, Basel, Vienna, Port d'Andatx and Palma/Mallorca, Luxembourg….from.
