This captivating abstract watercolor painting features a vibrant gradient of hues, transitioning from a serene sky blue at the top to a warm, soft yellow near the bottom. The gentle blending of colors creates an ethereal atmosphere, evoking feelings of tranquility and calm. Delicate splashes and scattered brush strokes add depth and texture, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in its soothing color palette. This artwork exudes a dream-like quality that can transform any space into a serene retreat.
This watercolor painting would make a stunning focal point in various interior spaces. It is perfect for a living room, nursery, or meditation area, where its calming colors can create a peaceful environment. Hang it above a sofa or a bed for a harmonious touch, or place it in a hallway to imbue the space with serenity.
In his art, Christian Göbel leaves everything largely to chance. It concentrates on the strongly diluted acrylic paint, ink and ink, pours and sprays it onto the still untreated canvas. It does not use brushes or other tools. Through targeted movements, the color runs in different directions, so that the image can develop as independently as possible and obtains its unique appearance. “Sometimes wild, sometimes gentle, but always unexpectedly it flows over the canvas and creates unavoidable new things,” says Göbel. Sometimes the artist leaves time too dry, sometimes not and paints it again with wet color. Thus, structures with holes, omissions, cracks or spots occur in the different color layers. Thus he builds his works layer by layer and creates their typical, multifaceted character. Christian Göbel does not consider his art as a representation of reality or as something concrete that we perceive objectively. He does not paint any definite, but creates projection surfaces for the thoughts and desires of each individual person. The viewer should not ask himself what to see on the painting or what the artist wants to say about it. Consistently, Göbel does not give his artwork any titles, but only numbers them. The decisive factor for Göbel is not what hangs on the wall, but who stands before it and what it does with them. As a result, the recipient becomes both actor.
