I painted this picture on a cloudy day in Elmelund on the Danish island of Ærø. It shows the view of the bay with its bright turquoise/blue water. In the foreground, yellow flowers stand out between round granite stones in shades of gray, ochre and pink. The green trees reach down to the beach. I have captured the September light impressionistically. My brushstroke is expressive, the application of paint impasto. For me, the picture radiates peace and space. While painting, I enjoyed the soft colors of the Baltic Sea landscape.
The picture support is a 2 cm thick wooden box. The edges are white. The suspension consists of a steel cable. The picture can be hung directly. My signature is on the front.
