artwork # 310 | acrylic and plaster on canvas | metallic pigments | dildo - unused | woven metal wire | 24-carat thick gold foil | THE STORY BEHIND THIS ARTWORK in late 2019 my former US curators ART PRODUCTION NEW YORK CITY were supposed to exhibit my artworks at ART BASEL MIAMI and for some reason they decided to cancel their participation at this event altogether ... one can easily understand my deception for a once in a lifetime opportunity like ART BASEL MIAMI. all of a sudden - on telly - a report was talking about this art event presenting an artwork exhibited by a famous italian artist: a banana duct-taped on a white wall (ego made me so angry about APNYC's cancellation and this particular artwork that I had the idea of creating THIS is NOT a banana ...). I promise the dildo has never been used prior to its transformation !!!
