This intriguing sculpture presents a striking figure composed of vertical and horizontal segments, which create a sense of movement and dynamism. The artist employs a minimalist and contemporary style, using a palette of cool metallic tones combined with hints of warm colors that suggest depth and dimension. The arrangement of the pieces gives the impression of a human figure, yet it remains abstract enough to allow room for personal interpretation. The sculpture stands on a simple base, emphasizing its fluid form while allowing it to draw the viewer's attention.
This modern sculpture would be an excellent addition to contemporary spaces, such as living rooms, galleries, and office receptions. Its unique design and abstract quality make it a perfect conversation starter, inviting viewers to engage with its artistic meaning. Placing it on a pedestal or a minimalist shelf will enhance its visual impact, allowing light to play off its surfaces for added intrigue.

The sculpture human flow – EPIMETHEUS by Manfred Hellweger depicts a stylised human figure created from vertically arranged, welded, square steel segments. The linear structure evokes an interplay between physicality and dissolution; the human body is formed from fragments that simultaneously embody stability and decay, memory and the present.

The matt, clear lacquer finish preserves the raw appearance of the material, emphasising its industrial origins while leaving traces of smoke and subtle colour nuances visible, revealing the creative process.

The title and form refer to the mythological figure of Epimetheus, brother of the forward-thinking Prometheus, who represents looking back and belated recognition. Accordingly, the sculpture testifies to a human existence composed of layers of the past, decisions, fragments, and memories. The 'human flow' thus becomes a metaphor for human existence: a ceaseless process in which identity is constantly changing and never static.
