This striking artwork features a circular design in the center, crafted from a combination of dark granite and an intricate metal structure. In this work, the artist combined three granite stone plates (“Lundhs Emerald Pearl” & “Bianco Romano”) with epoxy resin adhesive to form one unit. The circular hole was subsequently worked out with different tools. | The steel sculpture consists of many individual wire pins, which were connected to one another by targeted welding points and thus unite into an abstracted, human form. This was drilled into the stone and glued. | Thematically, the sculpture “time hole III” deals with numerous myths and legends that are about the caves of the Alps. It is reported that in some mountains there are so-called time holes in which time passes faster or more slowly than elsewhere. In addition, contacts to time travelers from a mirror world are reported. | The surface of the stone is polished on the front and ground on the sides. The steel sculpture was sealed with matt clear lacquer to avoid oxidizing the steel. | Total weight: 28.2 kg
