This striking piece features a contemporary sculpture set within a circular frame, contrasting a textured black background against a meticulously crafted metallic form. The sculpture appears to have intricate patterns, giving it a layered and three-dimensional quality. The play of light reflects off the metallic surfaces, enhancing the visual depth and creating an inviting interplay of shadows. The clean lines and geometric forms convey a sense of modern sophistication, making it an eye-catching focal point in any space. Suitable for both minimalist and industrial-themed interiors, this artwork adds an element of intrigue and elegance.
This sculpture can be beautifully placed in a variety of interior settings. In a living room, it can serve as a captivating centerpiece on a mantel or side table. In an office space, the modern aesthetic can inspire creativity and focus. Additionally, it would work well in a gallery-style hallway, inviting viewers to appreciate its intricate design up close.
In this work, stone (“Nero Seta” Granite & Sölker marble) and metal merge into one unit. The steel sculpture in the center consists of individual wire pins, which were connected to one another by targeted welding points and thus unite into an abstracted, human form. This was drilled into the stone and glued. Thematically, the sculpture “time hole IV” deals with numerous myths and legends that surround the caves of the Alps. It is reported that in some mountains there are so-called time holes in which time passes faster or more slowly than elsewhere. The round opening symbolizes a gate to unknown worlds, a gate to the fantasies of the viewer. The surface of the stone is flamed on the front and ground on the sides. The steel sculpture was sealed with matt clear lacquer to avoid oxidizing the steel. Total weight: 25.6 kg
