Dominik Lommer

My artistic career reflects a lively journey through the world of art. After an internship in the graphic studio Georg Fickenscher in 1987, studies followed in Italy and southern France. From 1989 to 1994 I completed my studies at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart under the guidance of Prof. Günther Jacki. Membership in the artist group "Nord Franconia" marked an important step in my career, followed by the founding of my own advertising agency in the Wacker Fabrik, Mühltal, according to my diploma as a graphic designer in 1994. The move to Munich in 1997 was headed Phase accompanied by the foundation of Art & Graphics. In the following years I worked as an art director at Dakota visual communication and later as a creative director at Eleven Eyes GmbH in Munich. International study stays in Mexico, Honduras, Jamaica and the USA between 2004 and 2008 enriched my artistic perspective. I have been a member of the BBK Oberbayern since 2009, and from 2018 I have been the position of Senior Art Director at Schliesske brand agency. At the same time, I have been a member of the Munich south artist's group since 2018. The opening of my "Doppelwerk" studio in Egling in 2019 marked another highlight of my artistic career. In 2021 I took over the position of the Creative Director at Schliesske brand agency, and from 2023 I will devote myself to new challenges as a creative director and speaker. My work in art is characterized by the representation of time-critical and abstract-informal content, whereby I create a haptic and visually perceptible depth by painting and layers. The change between large colored areas, gestural shapes and detailed symbols enables me to tell stories that invite the viewer to look intensely "follow-up".
