The artist Erich Handlos was born on September 27, 1972 in Lilienfeld.
He created his first drawings and clay works as a child. In 1992 he completed his training as a metal technician, which meant that metal found a permanent place in his artistic work.
He has been officially working as a freelance artist since 1995 and is known for his diverse techniques. In 1999 he founded his first studio on Domplatz in St. Pölten under the name “Atelier of Fine Arts”.
In 2006 another studio was opened in Baden near Vienna, and in 2021 his current studio in Vienna Alsergrund.
Erich Handlos can look back on worldwide exhibitions and art trips to Spain and Portugal.
His awards include numerous newspaper reports and photo publications in print media. His works are now in collections and private property.
The combination of creativity and different techniques makes my art journey endless.
I started with clay work and later discovered oil painting.
The focus is on people and nature and their connection.
My style ranges from realism to pop art and the fantastic to abstract.
I have developed my own techniques such as silicone painting and sand technique and created images using ceramics on wood.
I also create sculptures made of metal and ceramics as well as my own art jewelry collection.
Most of my paintings are created with oil and acrylic paints and are divided into series.
