Steffie de Leeuw

Steffie de Leeuw is a Dutch artist, greatly inspired by fine art, the great masters, and the unique beauty of nature. She lives in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. After graduating from the University of Amsterdam and the 'Willem de Kooning' Art Academy in Rotterdam, Steffie started working in Art, creating oil paintings. Born with a creative background Art has been taught to Steffie from an early age. Her father was a great admirer of art, a huge music lover and a gifted amateur painter and sculptor himself. Not only did he greatly inspire her by showing her his favorite artists and introducing her to the beauty of music, he also taught Steffie the art of seeing. Seeing the beauty in the things that surround us. She also inherited her love for travel from her parents, as well as her love for nature and wild life. Her surname is de Leeuw (the Lion) and you see these animal and other felines frequently in her work and designs. She combines inspiration from her own travels with her imagination and fictional influences to create a unique world of imagination. The last decades have been an artistic journey through the different expressions of art that now come together in her work.
