This stunning abstract painting features a harmonious blend of earthy tones, including deep blacks, warm oranges, and rich browns. The composition evokes a sense of depth and texture, with delicate crackling patterns adding an element of intrigue. The gradient-like transitions between the colors create a soothing yet dynamic visual experience, reminiscent of a dramatic sunset or the layered textures of a natural landscape. This artwork would be an excellent addition to modern living spaces, especially in a lounge or dining room where it can serve as a captivating focal point. It complements both contemporary and rustic decor, harmonizing beautifully with neutral palettes and warm wood accents. Consider placing it above a sleek sofa or as a centerpiece in an open-plan area to enhance the atmosphere and spark conversations.
In my work, acrylic, sand and tar flow together to create an abstract landscape full of passion and intensity. The earth tones and the rough texture express the wild beauty of nature and invite the viewer to immerse himself in a world beyond the graspable. With every brush stroke, I wanted to capture the untamed energy of the autumn and bring a piece of it into every room in which this painting hangs.
Autumn tuning implemented with scoring and rust.

About the artist
Marion Kotyba
Kulmbach
Marion Kotyba was born on August 16, 1968 in Kulmbach.
Further artistic training through lecturers and art symposiums.
She has had her own studio since 2008 and is also intensively active in children's and adult education in the field of art.
Freelance artist since 2010.
Since November 2017, owner of the KUNSTGALERIE & Atelier at Oberhacken 3, Kulmbach.
The prominent feature in Marion Kotyba's art is the theme of 'rust and aging' as a stylistic device in abstract acrylic painting. In this context, the artist repeatedly interprets the interplay of color, light, structures and technical implementation in an artistically impressive power of interpretation that is both new and exciting at the same time.
Recently, observations of natural weather influences - rusted surfaces, broken structures, glazes and the combination thereof - have played an important role. In doing so, the artist works out her concerns in clearly defined groups of works, primarily in a non-objective manner, in order to offer the viewer of her work enough freedom to let their own imagination run wild on an abstract level of representation.
The versatile and experimental artist takes the freedom to choose style, color and technique according to her mood.
