Oil on linen 50x70x2cm (27.6x19.7x0.8in) 2024, ready to hang.
This painting is part of the series “small figures” and shows a girl who just bought a weird balloon from a shop in the city centre. She is happy and attracts the attention of the people around her, including a young woman with her daughter. Another woman just noticed her and takes a picture with her mobile phone. I wanted to re-create a surreal situation in a urban context, with many human beings, and very colourful. I put great effort in painting the figures highly detailed, and to balance the colour palette so to make a vibrant and fresh artwork.
Weird balloons is a 50x70cm oil on linen artwork, painted using top quality materials and stretched on a handmade wooden canvas.
