Oil on linen 75x75x2cm (29.5x29.5x0.8in) 2021, ready to hang.
This painting is part one of my “figures standing on a monochrome background”. The picture shows a little boy holding an African tribal mask. The title suggests that the boy is saving everybody by killing a figurate monster, but the inoffensive look in his eyes make the viewer think that it is all just a game. May that be a suggestion for everyday life? Is there a real monster to kill, or anybody to be saved? The main figure is painted with an expressive/realistic style, the background is deep white (very luminous). The sides are painted so, if you like, you can hang the artwork without a frame.
“Now we are all safe” is a 75x75cm oil artwork, painted with top quality materials, stretched on a supported canvas and ready to hang.
